How to Order Custom Teamwear: From Mockup to Delivery
A custom order has five stages. Knowing what happens in each — and what is needed from you to unblock it — is the difference between a three-week programme and a three-month one.
Step 1 — Brief
Everything downstream depends on the brief. A complete one includes:
- Product type and quantity per design — for example "24 basketball jersey-and-short sets, one colourway".
- Artwork as vector files (AI, EPS, PDF, SVG). Send raster files too if that is all you have; we will confirm whether they need redrawing.
- Colours as Pantone references, hex codes or a physical swatch.
- Size breakdown and, where relevant, the player name and number list.
- Destination and deadline. Both change the shipping method and therefore the schedule.
If you have a reference garment you like the feel of, say so. Matching a fabric hand is faster than describing one.
Step 2 — Digital mockup (within 48 hours)
We build your artwork onto a flat technical drawing of the actual cut, not a generic template, so the print sits where it will sit in production. You receive a mockup showing every visible panel, with a colour reference sheet.
This is the cheapest possible moment to change your mind. Recolours, logo repositioning and typography adjustments are all free at mockup stage.
Step 3 — Physical sample (7–10 days)
Once the mockup is approved we produce a physical sample on the specified fabric and dispatch it — typically within 72 hours of sign-off, arriving 7–10 days after order confirmation depending on destination.
Check five things when it lands:
- Fabric hand and weight against what you expected
- Colour accuracy against your Pantone reference, in daylight not under office lighting
- Size and fit on a real person, not on the table
- Print placement, especially near seams and hems
- Trims — collars, cuffs, zips, grippers
Sample-stage changes are normal and expected. Bulk-stage changes are expensive.
Step 4 — Bulk production (15–20 days)
Mass production runs against the approved sample. That is the point of the sample: it becomes the reference every unit is checked against, with in-line inspection on print registration, colour consistency and sizing through the run.
Bulk typically completes 15–20 days after sample approval. Personalized name and number sets are verified against your list before packing.
Step 5 — Quality control and shipping
Before anything leaves the floor we run a final check: measurement against the size chart, print position, colour match against the approved sample, and a count against your breakdown. Garments are then folded, packed and shipped.
We ship worldwide, with the largest share of orders going to the United States, Australia, the Middle East and South-East Asia. Air and sea options are both available — the right one is usually decided by your deadline rather than by the freight rate.
Programmes that repeat
For clubs and brands ordering season after season, we keep the approved artwork, size charts and colour references on file. A repeat order then skips straight to production, which typically removes a week or more from the schedule. This is also how OEM / ODM and private-label ranges are built: your branding, our pattern library and manufacturing.
Send your artwork, quantity and size breakdown — digital mockup within 48 hours.
